The Preppy Planner: Holiday Home Tour

Hi gals!

It's Decemberrrrrrrr!!!! And now that it's officially my favorite month of the year, I thought I would invite you into my home and do a Holiday Decor Tour! These are always some of my favorite posts to read because I love seeing how people decorate and getting new ideas for myself.

For the past 6 or 7 years, I've been collecting and using the same colorful Christmas decorations. Now, I loooooooove color- LOTS of color, but this year I wanted to change it up a bit. The entry way and living room are mainly metallics with lots of greenery and our family room is warmer with traditional red and green. Greenley's little white tree in her room is still candy themed...I don't think she'll ever let me change that! I love having more than one tree and I love when each one has its own personality!

If you're a die hard Target shopper, like I am, then a LOT of this decor will look familiar. I think I literally purchased everything there. It's my one stop shop! No- I do not work for Target (but maybe I should! Ha!). I of course wanted to buy EVERYTHING but had to control myself and start with a few pieces that I sprinkled through the house (even the bathroom gets a little holiday cheer).

The one constant is my Department 56 Village. My husband adds to it, with a new piece, every year. Greenley LOVES it...maybe a little too much! I find her playing with it when I'm not looking. I cant really blame her though! There's something so magical about those little lighted buildings and tiny accessories.

My house if definitely a work in progress but for me that's the fun of decorating; adding beautiful, new pieces every year.
